My name is Sami Wills and I’m from Long Island, New York. I’m a Junior at Syracuse University, and major in Communications. I enjoy spending time with my friends and watching T.V. shows. I’m excited to learn more about the city of Barcelona and travel around Europe. Coming to Barcelona made me realize that the culture here is very different from the culture in America. Being in Barcelona is definitely a bit of a cultural shock for me. The fact that tipping isn’t expected and the fact that you have to pay for water at restaurants isn’t something I’m used to. Also, people here stare, where in the United States that is seen as offensive. Although I’m not yet used to these changes, I’m excited to continue studying abroad here and learn more about the culture.
